Extensive rehabilitations in porcelain

Describing the method and presenting clinical cases:
Oral rehabilitation in porcelain
Oral rehabilitation in porcelain is indicated when the patient needs a functional and aesthetic restoration for all teeth.

Patients with special functional habits like BRUXISM (grinding or clenching of the teeth) should undergo a treatment of the occlusal surface (where food is chewed). The metal occlusal will serve to make the mouthpiece and a transparent plastic night guard should be used to sleep or in case of high stress.
Due to the treatment complexity, this operation should be performed by a multidisciplinary, highly specialized team.

2 Young female patient - After having lost her four upper front teeth in an accident, she started a treatment of oral rehabilitation that she had to interrupt for lack of funding. Years after, the patient noticed that her temporary teeth were in precarious state. She came to our clinic through recommendation to end the referred to treatment. Opted for a metal-ceramic oral rehabilitation.

4 Middle-aged female patient - Wanted the same smile as her daughter's, who was a professional model. We explained her that this treatment could be realized with some alterations, though. After an extremely careful and minute planning, the following was indicated: gingival surgery, canal treatment and a Procera oral rehabilitation.

Generalities about oral rehabilitation in porcelain

Treatment duration
If surgery and canal treatment are needed (upper and lower arches), 1 to 2 years. With no surgery or canal treatment and if the patient regularly consults weekly (between two and four hours per consultation), treatment takes in average from 2 to 6 months (upper and lower arches).

Treatment Durability
In case of a biannual control without further decays nor periodontal problems or fractures, durability varies from 5 to 15 years.

Post-treatment precautions
Patient should be oriented by his practitioner to follow a careful diet; to use special brushes and dental floss for a perfect oral hygiene, as well as to daily use a fluoride mouthwash (solution to gargle) as a back-up.

Treatment Results
Once the treatment is fulfilled, the patient successfully recovers his self-esteem, significantly improving phonation and chewing function, beside a facial and buccal rejuvenation.

Going rate when rehabilitation is carried out by qualified dentists
Restorations in porcelain are of high quality and durable; that's why this kind of oral rehabilitation isn't charged as single crowns are. Treatment includes personalized planning, maintenance and finalization. Total cost (upper and lower arches), all phases included (surgeries, implants, canals, temporary teeth, porcelain) is around U$10,000 to U$ 50,000.
